The Massillon Visionaries is a soccer club from Massillon, Ohio. Our players start in our community programs before advancing to team age divisions, and the club offers recreation and travel competition for our athletes; our humble beginnings began with a group of parents who first coached the team but later formed a larger squad and began competing against Northeast Ohio cities as a club team. The family and community connection that has developed over the last ten years fosters leadership and sportsmanship, demonstrating to our young athletes through practices, games, and team bonding to give an understanding of the importance of fair competition with constructive, high-level training to each of our teams.

The Massillon Visionaries logo visually embodies the team’s dedication to leadership and community values. It features wings surrounding the typefaces, symbolizing the club’s foundation on a sense of belonging.

A secondary logo, optimized for limited space, offers versatility. The wordmark, used when neither primary nor secondary logos are practical, ensures consistent brand recognition. To preserve the integrity of the Visionaries, refrain from altering and modifying these logos to provide a cohesive and recognizable brand identity across all applications and platforms.

The Massillon Visionaries logo reflects the team’s commitment to leadership and community values. The wings wrapped around the typefaces reference the sense of belonging that initiated the start of the soccer club, with the treatment of the typefaces evoking a sense of strength and passion for the sport that each player learns to embody through the club.

The secondary logo will be helpful in times when space is limited and cannot best fit the Massillon Visionaries’ primary logo. We encourage the usage of the secondary logo on a more horizontal application to represent the Visionaries best and when needing to resize our club on smaller formats.

For instances when the Massillon Visionaries’ primary or secondary logos are not practical due to space of the logo application, the wordmark will be utilized in place. The purpose will keep the identification and distinctive look of the Visionaries within our branding, identity system, and promotion on social media.

In maintaining the proper visual representation of the Massillon Visionaries, the primary, secondary, and wordmark will not be altered or changed in any of the following ways: DO NOT skew logo, remove box behind wordmark, replace elements of the logo, alter the logo, or change logo color.

The colors selected for the Visionaries reflect a midnight aesthetic tying into the mascot, an owl. The selection of a dark blue, Nocturnal, represents the nighttime sky; while Twilight, light blue, is fitting to a calming effect. The vibrant and intense orange, Luna, symbolizes the moonlight and provides radiant energy and endurance.

Unit Slab Pro The serif Unit Slab Pro reflects the competitive edge of the club. The Unit Slab Pro Bold typeface must be placed as all main headings, capitalized, and the Nocturnal color must be applied when applicable.

Paralucent The secondary logo for the Massillon Visionaries, Paralucent, ties into the sense of community, wholeness, and sportsmanship. Paralucent Heavy is only applied as a subheading with the orange swatch, Luna, when applicable. Paralucent Medium, is only used as body copy with the dark blue, Nocturnal swatch, when applicable.

The hierarchy outlines the importance and visual prominence, such as typography and the color palette, to prioritize and arrange these elements to maintain brand integrity and recognition. By establishing a hierarchy, the Massillon Visionaries brand maintains a unified and impactful presence across different platforms and communication channels.

Clear space surrounds a logo that must be free of other design elements or text and ensures that the logo is easily recognizable and that other surrounding elements do not diminish its visual impact. The clear space required for a logo varies depending on the design and the intended use of the logo.

The owl’s left cheek is the clear space for the primary and secondary logos. The size of the left cheek shall be oriented around each side of the primary and secondary logos.

The M in “Massillon” is to measure the clear space for the wordmark. The M should be placed at the top of the wordmark and oriented around each side of the wordmark.

All players must follow uniform regulations of a jersey, shorts, socks, cleats, and shinguards. The team shall wear the Luna jersey when playing opponents at home and the alternate Twilight (away) uniforms when playing on the road. The Massillon Visionaries logo must appear on the left chest. Any illegal color, design, or combination between the home and away jerseys will prevent players from playing competitively in a match.

The Massillon Visionaries brand identity system will be used when dealing with external businesses for brand recognition of the team.

A business card is a tangible representation of the Massillon Visionaries’ identity. To reinforce how the business card is utilized, it should be designed using design elements, contact information, and language that reflects the brand’s tone. Adhering to these guidelines establish a professional image, enhances brand recognition, and positively impacts customer perception.

The letterhead is crucial for reinforcing the Massillon Visionaries brand’s identity. It should follow the brand identity guidelines, incorporating wordmark elements, brand colors, typography, and contact information. This ensures the brand is consistently represented across all communications, reinforcing its visual and verbal identity.

The design of this envelope should incorporate a structural layout and contact information while maintaining a consistent brand tone.
